Epro TechSoft Ltd., one of the largest suppliers of customer contact service solution in HK, announced the issue of the smart and advanced system – i-School Manager (iSM), to help school in dealing with the emergency as well as to strengthen the communication between school and parents.
iSM integrates the function of Computer Telephony Integrated (CTI): IVRS and Auto Dialer, to form the unique set for school in order to release the work load and pressure of teachers.
Emergency, like swine flu and dust storm, happens frequently nowadays. Whenever the emergency is found, huge demand on human resource for contacting parents and students can be foreseen. To cope with this problem, the multi-functional system is built. iSM is not only limited to emergency announcement, it can also be an extracurricular activities and payment reminder, self-enquiry platform, activities and attendance management system, etc. With iSM, teachers can strengthen the communication with parents more precisely and efficiently and hence to improve the image of the school.
General Manager of Epro TechSoft, Mr. Terry Leung said: “Despite the technology improves, neither internet nor SMS ensures the parents can be noticed at the right time.” With the Auto Dialer function, iSM will dial automatically according to the contact list which has been imported to the system. The system can also redial until the target can be reached. Once the parents have answered the phone, the system will then play the message uploaded. After that, parents can confirm the message or be redirected to designated officer for enquiry through pressing the keypad on the phone.
Apart from an emergency announcer, iSM can be used as a general notifier, like making miscellaneous and activities notification, etc. After uploading the activity schedule to the system, iSM will remind the targeted group about the activity schedule.
Mr. Terry Leung also stated that the long and unstable working hours of Hong Kong people makes communication between school and parents difficult. The self-enquiry function allows parents to contact school around the clock for enquiry without adding workload to teachers. School only needs to upload related information, such as examination timetable, homework, conducts, etc; parents can then call the hotline for the information wanted.
Besides, iSM assists school in student cases, activity and attendance management. Teachers can import student’s cases into the system. Via the Graphical User-friendly Interface of iSM, the unsolved cases will be shown clearly and hence teachers can handle the cases more systematically. Also, referring to the reports, such as conduct analysis, performance analysis, generated by iSM, teachers can have a better picture about their students’ needs and thus provide different guidance to different student.
Mr. Terry Leung indicated: “Emergency can happen at anytime; the advanced technology also brought negatively effects to students. School and parents need to form a closer communication in order to set up appropriate teaching method. This is the value of iSM and we foresee that iSM is going to bring positive outcomes to every party.”
